Who you'd be working with

Antonio Rodriguez

One engineer. No account managers, no handoffs. The person you talk to is the person who builds it.

I am a software engineer. I studied at TCU's College of Science and Engineering, and for nine-plus years since I have built the systems that run big companies: healthcare, travel, and financial technology. In all three, software going wrong costs somebody something real.

Corporate work keeps a tight fence around how you are allowed to solve a problem. I kept seeing a better way to build something and being told to build it the approved way instead. Areteios is me building it the right way, for people who actually feel the difference.

I take complex things apart to see how they really work, then put them back together better. That is the whole job. I am up late most nights learning a new tool, because the standard I hold is the one my clients get.

Take a complex system apart, understand exactly how it runs, then rebuild it so it runs without you.

Arete

An old Greek word for excellence as a practice: not a talent you have, a standard you keep. It is the reason the company is named what it is.

Why the standard

My faith and my family come before the work. I am a husband to Stephanie and a father to two boys. Building Areteios is how I set the standard I want them to grow up around.

Let's talk about your week

Tell me what part of running your business is taking time it shouldn't. I'll tell you honestly whether I can fix it.

Requests are read by me, not a form queue. If it's not a fit, I'll say so.
